Quality Assurance & Export Compliance
Every metric ton of soybeans and sugar exported from Brazilian terminals undergoes systematic inspection under Brazilian federal standards and accredited third-party international survey protocols.
Official Federal Compliance Framework
Operating strictly in accordance with Brazilian agricultural and foreign trade guidelines.
Ministério da Agricultura e Pecuária (MAPA)
MAPA is Brazil’s federal regulatory body responsible for verifying plant health, certifying agricultural export facilities, enforcing sanitary and phytosanitary rules, and issuing official Phytosanitary Export Certificates for every grain and sugar consignment departing Brazilian sea terminals.
- Official Phytosanitary Health Certification
- Strict quarantine and seed purity clearance
- Approved fumigation supervisory protocols
Independent Third-Party Pre-Shipment Inspection
To protect international buyers and banking instruments (Letters of Credit), all shipments are independently surveyed by internationally recognized inspection companies (such as SGS or Bureau Veritas) at the Brazilian port of origin.
- Certified Vessel Draft Survey for accurate weight measurement
- Composite sampling throughout continuous conveyor loading
- Official Certificate of Weight, Quality, and Analysis
Standardized Analytical Procedures
Laboratory testing conducted according to internationally established scientific standards.
ICUMSA Color Method #4-1978
Determines the spectrophotometric optical absorbance of sugar solutions at 420 nm, confirming the exact ICUMSA rating (e.g. 45 RBU max for white refined, 100-150 for crystal sugar).
Polarimetric Sucrose Analysis
Measures optical rotation to verify sucrose concentration: minimum 99.80°Z for ICUMSA 45 white sugar, and 99.00°–99.40°Z for VHP raw sugar.
Soybean Moisture & Protein
Standard oven drying to verify moisture does not exceed 14.0%, and Dumas/Kjeldahl combustion testing for crude protein (basis 34.0% – 36.0%).
